Case Study
Rizk Tower is a 27-story high-rise building in Beirut. The apartment at the 10th floor sustained extensive structural damage due to electro-mechanical works that involved cutting reinforcement bars and removing concrete cover to install electrical conduits. This resulted in weakened beams and walls, requiring urgent structural repair and rehabilitation.
Works Description
All damaged structural elements were carefully assessed and repaired in accordance with engineering recommendations. Cut reinforcement bars in beams and walls were reconnected using mechanical couplers to restore structural continuity. All openings and shafts created during previous works were filled and rebuilt using reinforced micro-concrete systems. Stripped concrete areas were treated and repaired using high-performance repair mortars to ensure durability and structural performance. The repair process focused on restoring both structural capacity and long-term reliability of the apartment.
